DaSCHCon 2024 on Archaeology & Interoperability

Where:      Bern and online


We are happy to invite you to the DaSCHCon 2024 in Bern, dedicated to exploring data interoperability and data quality in archaeology.


Morning Session (10:15–12:00):

Presentation of selected projects and initiatives which focus on interoperability and linking of archaeological data, and introduction to a platform dedicated to archaeological research:

·       Digital LIMC (Rita Gautschy)

·       nomisma.org – Linked Open Data in Numismatics (Rahel Ackermann)

·       ArcheoBase (Emmanuel Clivaz)


Afternoon Session (13:15–15:00):

We invite you to present (approx. 15 minutes) your project or ongoing work relating to data interoperability and / or data quality aspects. Please submit your details using the attached template, which should be sent to daschcon@dasch.swiss by July 31st, 2024, with the following information:

·       Contact details

·       Name of your project / institution

·       500-word abstract

·       Optional figures and illustrations (with copyright statement) as separate files

We intend to compile a small book of abstracts which will be available online.


Closing Discussion (15:30–16:30):

Open discussion and exchange of knowledge between the participants.

If you already have a pressing question or topics for discussion, please fill in the attached question template and return it to daschcon@dasch.swiss by October 1st, 2024.


A registration link, the programme and further details will be communicated during August 2024.
